Friends I "Lost"
Following shingoT's entry on friends he lost in his early years, I would also like to declare that The Great One has also "lost" friends who are dear to him, but not in the way shingoT did.
Pr*****la & L*n were ex-girlfriends of my brothers. Ok, dun get the wrong idea now. The Great One is not talking about love feelings for them!!! Being close to my brothers, I have always treat my brothers as part of my family, naturally, any "additional" to the family should always be a happy thing to me.
I get along well with Pr*****la & L*n, especially Pr*****la, so maybe I'll just talk about her. I am always so glad that my brother, Ch**les found her and in my heart, I have already assumed that she is the one that he'll married and she will become my "Sister-In-Law". Being the eldest in the group, she is seen as a motherly figure in the group, taking care of many many things whenever we go for trips. Being a good cook is without a shadow of doubt, a contributing factor to that role. Trips aboard definitely seems more interesting and organised with her around.
Whenever I get the opportunity to talk to her alone, we will definitely talk about Ch**les. She is always very enthu to find out about his younger years which Ch**les is unfortunately a person who doesn't like to reveal about his past.... haha.... so I guess that leaves the dirty job to me. Whenever she learnt something new regarding Ch**les, she would always gave a giggle which revealed her amusement and satisfaction to gaining a foothold over Ch**les. Everyone can tell her love for him.
Then the most feared thing happened...... 5 years after they met, its over. I could tell that Pr*****la is devastated. Ch**les seemed much unmoved. As far as I know, he din try to savage anything.....
I called her a few times for meetup with the group, the meetup never take place. I guess it's just too difficult. Ch**les got attached not long after. His new gf doesn't gel too well with us and this draws our distance further away from each other. They had met up recently and I heard that she got a new bf. The guy happened to be someone Ch**les know. I got this feeling that she is pretty happy with him now, whatever the case, I am definitely glad for her that she found her new love.
In some cases, breaking up may mean a good thing. In others, not. My sister's bf, TS is someone who I think is great to hang out with and I am glad he is a part of the group, although her previous was not bad either. Still, I no longer have any opportunities to talk to her ex bf again. I definitely hope that TS will permanently become part of the family.
I guess the worst pain to the great one is losing friends in a way which he got no control of.
