Next Time

My buddy has been by far, a very successful person in his life. He earns good money, dun have to work very hard and has a very loving relationship with his girlfriend.

There are a lot of things I see in him that i believe, helped him attained this status. Well, having a brain size of a peanut but worth $600,000 in singapore does help a lot. *wahahahaha... just kidding man*

Anyway, one of the very interesting quality that I observed is this. If he missed an opportunity, I realised that he is never sad or too emotional about it. Whenever, there is a good lobang, being a good friend that he is, he will encourage and spur me on. Split seconds into realising that things aint gonna work his way, or the lobang is gonna be gone, he would say without hesitation. "Don't worry Kiat, Next Time will be better. Perhaps its may turn out to be better=)"

Eg When I missed the opportunity to get a particular stocks & Shares, he would say,"Don't worry man, next time will get it at a better price. Perhaps next week, you may be heaving sighs of reliefs that you din get it=)"

Or

Eg When I missed the opportunity at a position in a company, he would again say," Don't worry man, next time you will get a better post. It may mean that you mite be better where you are now=)

Moral of the story? Never lament over loss opportunities, there is always a reason why.

Despite understanding this great quality of him, I just need to tell him, "hey man, if I lose a toto ticket that I had won, I will still be damn sad.... " WAHAHAHAHAHA....... " Now dun try and use that on me, it wont work then!"
